I'm looking at adding another baitcaster to my collection thanks to a nice deposit in the account today.... I have a Pflueger trion right now and other than a tendency to backlash, I am pretty satisfied with it. I have success using it with crankbaits and spinners, but not much else. Its spooled up with white Power Pro line, so that is probably why it doesn't work well for topwater. Anyone have any suggestions for a nice baitcaster around 150 bucks? I'm also looking for some rod and line suggestions to go with it. I would like to have one set up for crankin and spinners, and another for topwater. If anyone has any different line suggestions for cranking I'd love to hear it as well. Thanks again for the help! Oh yeah, this would mostly be for bass and northern!

quantum accurist pt. $129.00 I think. you might want to slighty tighten the brake, that will help with the tendency to backlash. you want the bait to slowly drop down and with it hits the water, the spindle will stop turning.

Thanks again for all the input! As much as I would like to spend 200 on a curado I couldn't get it in the budget! Decided on the revo, have heard good things other than a tendency to backlash. We'll find out this weekend!
