Brian--My comment had more to do with why put on something like this so close to such a major show if they're not going to be at that show. I was questioning as to the level of presence they're going to now have. Sounds like there might be pressure cracks in the world of ice shows.

Every major retailer is having a big ice fishing show and nobody seems to care how close one date is to another. This has been going on for years now. Some even have them on the same day. For example, I'll be at the Cabelas Ice Force event on the same day the Hard Water Ice Fishing Expo is taking place. Gander, Joe's, Bass Pro... they're all having one as well within a narrow time frame.
