Walleye and Muskie

#315363 - 04/05/06 09:43 PM

This summer i'd like to try and find some walleyes. Any areas to look at? patterns to try?

I've about given up on muskies..i've landed 5 or 6 on light tackle with fishing bass on holcombe, 2 over 40. Those two over 40 were in teh same year. 2 or 3 years ago, i can't remember. The one was throwing a grub off my dock at the end of october for smallmouth(we have cabin on whispering pines lp, small end of the lake)..the one was in september, i had a 14" smallie on up in main creek, and my partner went to lip him when a huge 'ski flew out from under the boat and nailed it. he got my wally diver instead of the bass, and a half hour later, i had a 45" muskie in the boat on a ultra light rod and 8 lb line. is there any secrets for getting muskies on holcombe other than fishing in october in teh freezing cold?
