Decided to do a little shore fishing this morning after the rain stopped and caught a mixed bag, one short eye, one crappie, one white bass, and snaged a big ugly slimy cat fish.

Cats are cool!!

It is all in the eye of the beholder.

Dave I'm doing good, waiting for the fall run. Anglers getting some nice fish trolling on the lake. Soon the fish will be in the river.

Should be out friday afternoon (hopefully with Z-man if he can make it) and if the weather cooperates.

I heard and saw the same reports.

Tried it for a couple hours by the Bark River. Nothing. That wind was a bit nippy. Be back in a couple weeks..

Joined Diesel on
friday afternoon, and nothing for us either, except for one slime-rocket. Trolled in Kosh for couple hours, and moved into the river when the wind got too strong. nada in the river either. But, like I said to Diesel, would much rather have stayed at work....NOT!

Yup, Z-Man and I slugged it out on Friday with little to show for it. Started off on Kosh at the rock pile with one small northern to show for a couple of hours trolling. Trolled all combination. About five boats out during the day and saw a walleye caught and maybe a couple white bass.

Wind built waves all day and then we had enough and headed to the river and jigged crawlers, plastics, and leeches for the standard milk run.

Water temp was 56 to 57. Gonna give it a rest for a week or two to get more wife credits.

Looks like the eyes have arrived seen a few nice eaters caught and talked to a good source that they are catching quite a few just before daylight and late afternoon. I am leaving for St.Germain area Sat for a week of musky fishing with the wife its a yearly thing for me but first time for the wife. Save some eyes for me.

Getting to be that time of year again. The last few years I haven't fished as much as I'd like to, but that's changing this season. I'll be up once a week as soon as the water temps start to fall. I think the Fall walleye fishing is second to none.
