Made it out to Stagecoach Wed. for a couple hours with Layne and checked a couple of areas for crappie and a couple of areas for gills. The first spot we hit had fish in the hole right away. We caught 10 or so short crappies and a couple small channel cats. The other spots we hit we marked a few fish but couldn't connect. The same went for the bluegill spots. I'd like to get back out there to keep looking for some fish. I have a few other areas in mind. Ice was 10-12 inches. The Game and Parks has placed a ton of trees on the ice for structure. I bet there is over 100 trees waiting to sink.
