I am offering a full-day guided trip for two people in support of the Brandon Rolen Foundation. All proceeds from the auction of this trip will go directly to the Foundation. For more about Brandon and his family, read this.
The trip will take place on Lake Wissota, near Chippewa Falls WI, and will occur on a mutually agreeable date between mid-May and early October, 2007.
Lake Wissota is a 6000 + acre impoundment of the Chippewa and Yellow Rivers that offers an incredibly diverse and healthy fishery. I specialize in the pursuit of walleyes and smallmouth bass, both of which are found in abundance in Wissota’s waters. Wissota also offers healthy populations of musky and northern pike, and a full complement of panfish including slab crappies. I will tailor the trip to your specific interests, and hope to be able to show you the best of what Lake Wissota has to offer.
Because this trip is for two people, I invite you to consider using this trip as a way to spend a relaxing day on the water with your spouse or significant other, or better yet, with your child or even a parent. This trip will give you the chance to be introduced to a new body of water, to learn a new technique and pick up a tip or two, but I hope that it will also give you a chance to connect and share the day with someone in your family. Family is what In-depthangling is all about, and this auction is one way for the IDA family to lend a helping hand to another family, one of our own, that is in need.
So, who wants to go fishing? My normal rate for a full-day trip is $300, so let’s start the bidding there. I may have a couple of things to throw in to sweeten the pot as the bids increase.

2 Lake Wissota staffers are joining forces to up the ante on this auction.
Over the course of the past year, I have learned that Jason Sullivan is one heck of a custom rod builder. I just received my first custom rod from Jason, a stunning 6'3" vertical jigging rod built on a St Croix walleye tournament series blank. This is a hand-crafted masterpiece! A rod built for a fisherman buy a fisherman!
Jason has graciously offered to add a hand-crafted St Croix rod to the Wissota guide trip auction.
This rod will be built on a St Croix AVID spinning blank (AS60MF 6' 6-12lb. 3/16-5/8oz). Jason will contact the winner of the auction for their preference in thread color and how they would like the rod personalized for them. Best of all, Jason will present the rod to the auction winner at the beginning of their guide trip...when we're done for the day, you'll leave with some great memories, a little more knowledge, perhaps a few fresh walleye fillets, and a brand new, hand-crafted St Croix rod!
