There will be plenty of photos to come soon enough but for now I will say that it went awesome. The weather held out until the end and the fish cooperated well. We put a hurting on the panfish as well as the pike and some of the guys got into some pretty good walleyes.
All in all it was an excellent event. I would like to thank Steve Green and Don Hanson for all their hard work putting this together.

Where do I start, I had the chance to fish with a very nice little girl that had never been fishing, so I tried to make it a very good day of fishing for her & her big. So Don gave some advise on a good trolling run to start. So we got loaded up & headed out to the spot. I started to get the rods ready when I realized that I'd forgot my tackle box at home  so ran back to the park where Jason Sullivan was leaving with his group & he saved me by giving me five cranks to do some trolling with. We got back to the spot start trolling & 10 mins. into it my little had here first fish a little hammer handle her very first fish.  Her second fish a white bass came know sooner than when she got her crank back out in the water, are next fish was the littles first walleye one the way back thru that pass plus she picked up another white bass. We then said we'd troll over to where Chappy & Lenny were fish sunnies in the tree's & the little picked up a 3lb northern. We slip bobber fished the trees for sunnies with know success again because I forgot my tackle box so I could go to smaller hooks. I have to thank Steve for getting me out to the next & best spot of the day. We only trolled in the afternoon with my big picking up her first fish a very nice 18" eye & a muskie that bite us off about sixty feet from the boat. Sorry Jason I owe you a crank bait or a beer. That after noon trolling run was constantly picking up fish on that run plus alot of time they where we picked double & Lenny was picking up triples. Our last fish of the day was a 6'11" northern that the big picked up. I have to thank Don, Jason, Chappy, Steve & Lenny for their help for some dumb guy that forgot his tackle box.

And let's tell everyone about you not fishing all day until........The big started winding in something pretty big! What was that all about??? All I heard is that it was a bigger fish and you didn't want to put a rod and reel in the bottom of the lake....So you wound it in for her....... What was that all about? 
Just kidding there big guy........ 
Seriously though.It was a great day and it was a good time afterwards meeting Jason's.......Uhhhhh..Girlfriend? Kathrine?? God I hope that's right.....Jason..You need to work on the into's a little better! Kingfish185,peteyb.........everyone...Great Job! Especially Steve and Don! And Steve's wife! Great job everyone!

We sure did dodged the bullet yesterday with the weather. I thought it was going to be a washout and it was a perfect day. We only had one big and little cancel because of the weather reports and thats a shame as the rain held off untill we had all the boats on trailers. It did cut loose after that. We could of trolled down the sidewalk in the park.Our thanks go out to all the boaters, Jeff and Jims, Swiss Miss, and Dairy Queen.This photo is of Mark, Alettie and Rachel.

I had a great time out there on Saturday. It was good to meet a few more IDAers and learn a few more techniques. I wish I had been able to get my guests hooked into a few more fish . Next time I'll bring more panfish tackle. Our boat saw several pike and smallies make it to the net and my big and little both lost a few fish boatside (they were too excited to wait for the net!). On the day, we caught pike, smallmouth, gills, and walleye!
The weather turned out to be awesome and the timing of the showers was perfect. We were down on the south side of the lake and I was keeping my eyes on the black clouds rolling in. When I heard a few claps of thunder, I told my guests it was time to head in. They both wanted to stay out longer so I waited as long as I felt I could. We headed in, beached the boat, and helped them out. As they were looking for the rest of their group, I packed up the gear and Sully backed my trailer down for me. We pulled her up and then the skies opened just as we were snapping on my cover (thanks Lenny and Mark! I wouldn't have gotten her all snapped down in time without the hand!). My guests said their last "thanks!" and headed out.
Thanks to Don, Steve, and Steve's wife for all their hard work in putting this together.

oh yeah, I forgot to add... One thing I learned is that its not hard to figure out where Chappy is fishing. I think his words were something like "but my voice just carries..."

Yep Login was in a hurry to get back out there and fish. Hes hooked on fishing for sure and thats great.  Dropped the boat of at Smittys on the way home to have them unplug the pee hole on the motor. Must be sand in there. I noticed after about 2:00 that the motor didn't have a water discharge but the motor ran but didn't want to get it heated up too bad. I took off before the storm hit around 4:00 as my windshield wiper motor isn't working on the van. I had a great time and its great to see the smiles and hear how the kids did fishing. If you are reading this thread and haven't taken part in this event please sign up for next year as its alot of fun.

Great job guys, everyone had a great time and put the kids on fish. It was a blast seeing the regulars again and great to have the first timers to the event. You guys did great and I would like to thank all the boaters that came over for the day. Steve and Jackie did a great job setting things up, as always. I would also like to thank Polar Kraft, Minn Kota and Dean at Everts for the donations of caps and can coolers for the kids. Can't wait for next years event.
