spent friday through monday at Roy Lake. We were greeted with 25+mph winds and rain picked up a few smallies that were nice fish but not quite what we were looking for. Throw in a couple small largies and it made for a disappointing friday evening as none of our four boats got a walleye Saturday morning we were back at it at 530am and drilled the smallies. we picked up over 30 that morning in our boat and another boat did the same. still couldn't find the eyes though. we went to another lake on a local tip that the walleye were going good and they were. fished flooded wind blown timber in 5-10 fow. very nice fish but nothing huge. lots of 10" and more than enough 17-20 for a guy to take back if he wanted to. a couple bounus perch and smallies were thrown in the mix as well. Saturday night we were determinded to crack Roy's walleyes and we finally did. 2 fow up were a creek was flowing in at an unbelieveable pace! Tossing small x raps and huskys was the key right before dark. nice fish too. 23.5 was the biggest but quite a few 20"s to go around. we returned sunday to our other lake which was called cattail and did well again. One of the biggest fish of the weekend was a 6lb 8oz largemouth! this thing was a pig. 21" length and 16"girth ! Good ol' Steve from Gamehide took big fish honors (again)
all in all it was a good experience. we stayed at Roy Lake Resort which was very nice. Lacks some parking but nice place to stay and very nice people there definitly recommend them.

That is a beast of a fish! Roy Lake sounds like it is quite a fishery these days. I grew up in SD and never heard much talk about it at all.
Hi: If you think that was a big large mouth you should have been here for the 9#4Oz. large mouth caught last October...out of Roy. I have weighed in several 7.5 large mouth.
