I would like to float the river at the Crow Wing State Park to Fort Ripley. Does anyone know if I need a small boat for that trip. I have a 16 foot deep V and I don't want to get it stuck on rapids, etc. I would appreciate any response.

yes you could use your boat, plan on drifting downstream, going back would not be good, also the last 1/2 mile before the ramp at nokasippi by ripley is full of rocks, lift your motor and drift thru that, I use a jon boat and my prop man is on retainer

Fished a few times, not yet this year. Beyond a Jon, Riverpro would be all I would take down that stretch.
