The dimensions were 88" X 40"girth, 176 lbs. It took a 1 lb. chunk of carp and was safely released after a bunch of pictures. An expert estimated the fish to be 65 years old. The public attitude towards these fish down there is not good. They have no bag limit on them. In my opinion, the state of Texas has a treasure and they better preserve it for future generations or they will lose those big fish and it will take our whole lifetime to get them back. So, I am grateful to be able to catch my big one.

This fish thrashed around at first but after the initial thrashing, it was as calm as a puppy. This was a really awesome experience.

That is right up Castandblast's alley

That is why we get along.

First time going fishing with this guy he takes me out to the middle of nowhere and tells me to wade across to the island through the high water of spring freezing cold with water almost over my waders.....the whole point is somtimes the crazies are really just amitious.

Mike your fish still shocks me every time I see it!

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day .
