Here is a picture of my sled. Its an 06 Polaris Dragon 600 stretched to a 136" track.

As of Mon. night, 11-19-07 I have a pretty darn clean 96' Arctic Cat Cougar Mountain Cat 550cc. Just broke 3,000 mile mark. My first sled in about 4 seasons, can't wait.

No snowmobiles here, as that's what they usually do is "sit in the garage"!  Got a wheeler that does everything I want it to, other than go through over 2' of snow.

if you get a hitch made, make sure you add the swivel hitch mounting adapter that you see on Derek's. He has the most pimped out sled I've seen on the ice when it comes to fishing. When I first saw it it, I though what the?? Then after close examination, he's got it figured out!!! Can't wait to set one up just like it.

98 cat ZL500-The guy told me it was blown up so i was going to buy it for parts. I put a new needle and seat in one of the carbs and have been riding it ever since. It only had 1100 miles on it and I gave him $450.00
Should I have felt guilty??

Find a small welding shop and they should be able to build you something. My rack ran about $100. All pretty much channel bar steel and two rubber footings from a transom saver are what the auger rests on.

I rarely fish inside of a portable. Only on extremely windy days. Having a flasher on the dash allows me to cover alot of ground without getting off the machine.

I have a '91 Polaris Trail that is getting converted into an ice machine.
If its riding time, I borrow my buddy's spare RMK 700 and we go find some powder.

That is the same sled I have. I've had it for ten years now, and never had a problem with it. Could have to do with the fact it gets ran more in MN than in Iowa...

moreyes-Was that your sled in Snowgoer last year? It may have been Snowtech or AMsnow or one of the other magazines that arrive at the doorstep, but I swear that is the sled! If it is, props on the build! I am still a fan of the Wedge chassis! Oh, and for the topic's sake, I have a '01 XCSP 800 and a '93 Indy 440.

Don't put Martens lack of maintenance on the honda. I don't seem to have those issues....

85 Formula MX that my neighbor picked up free on the side of the road in Stillwater. He said he got it to run but didn't have time to mess with it. It's now a father/son project for me a my 7 year old. Might as well teach him to work on them if is going to ride one

I bought a 2000 Polaris Indy 500 about 3 weeks ago and only has 1200 miles. This sled was barely ever used and is like brand new. They guy said he never went over 55 mph, lol, and I believe him because he is kinda old and seemed like a very honest guy.

Wow just found this forum, I must be blind. Just got back into sledding this year, why not with 3' of snow. Picked up a Polaris XLT Special on Cristmas Eve, so far I'm loving it, just havent got brave enough yet to see what it can really do. 85+ is easy and shes still pulling hard I just chicken out.
