As of Mon. night, 11-19-07 I have a pretty darn clean 96' Arctic Cat Cougar Mountain Cat 550cc. Just broke 3,000 mile mark. My first sled in about 4 seasons, can't wait.
No snowmobiles here, as that's what they usually do is "sit in the garage"! Got a wheeler that does everything I want it to, other than go through over 2' of snow.
if you get a hitch made, make sure you add the swivel hitch mounting adapter that you see on Derek's. He has the most pimped out sled I've seen on the ice when it comes to fishing. When I first saw it it, I though what the?? Then after close examination, he's got it figured out!!! Can't wait to set one up just like it.

98 cat ZL500-The guy told me it was blown up so i was going to buy it for parts. I put a new needle and seat in one of the carbs and have been riding it ever since. It only had 1100 miles on it and I gave him $450.00
Find a small welding shop and they should be able to build you something. My rack ran about $100. All pretty much channel bar steel and two rubber footings from a transom saver are what the auger rests on.

I run a FL-20 flasher and GlobalMap 4900m on my dash.
I rarely fish inside of a portable. Only on extremely windy days. Having a flasher on the dash allows me to cover alot of ground without getting off the machine.

That is the same sled I have. I've had it for ten years now, and never had a problem with it. Could have to do with the fact it gets ran more in MN than in Iowa...

moreyes-Was that your sled in Snowgoer last year? It may have been Snowtech or AMsnow or one of the other magazines that arrive at the doorstep, but I swear that is the sled! If it is, props on the build! I am still a fan of the Wedge chassis! Oh, and for the topic's sake, I have a '01 XCSP 800 and a '93 Indy 440.
