We are in need of ALOT of boaters and shore workers for the event. Please consider signing up. The area guides will point you in the right direction for fish and seriously these kids don't care what they catch. They just love having the chance to be out in a boat on the water fishing. THANKS guys. I'm looking for 50 plus boaters this year as there are ALOT of kids who look forward to this day. Most don't ever get out in a boat fishing except on this day so its a ''very big exciting day in their lives.'' YOU can change a childs life in a very big positive way by sharing one day of the year with them. Getting kids hooked on fishing is much better than someone else getting them hooked on something else. Kids need something to do in their spare time and fishing will fill that time much better than negative things will. I am going to add my .02 worth. I was a big that came down to this event 6 years ago with my little. he still remembers it crystal clear and had a ton of fun fishing that day. I also keep my ear in the organization and I can tell you, we have matches that are chomping at the bit to get signed up for this years event. they have been talking to me and the other guy since last years event wondering when it was going to be. you will have a blast, most of the kids that come down for this are ones from last year with some new ones. they will come back and ask for you by name to go back out again.
anyway, come on down and spend a day on the water with a kid, teach him/her to have fun, smile, and enjoy some of God's great creation.

For anyone who is on the fence about helping, it is a great time, very laid back, with lots of people to help with locations and fishing information. It is lots of fun for everyone.

Bill thanks for the start time information. I am going to have to wait a week or so to give a firm commitment. I also have to work out daycare issues. As of today I have 5 hours of vacation scheduled for thursday the 26th. My wife is also one of 6 finalists for anew job she applied for at the VA hospital in Minneapolis.
