Sportsman Recall

#636586 - 02/14/08 02:22 PM

I saw today that Polaris has a recall on Sportsman atv's from 2005-2006. Saying that parts can over heat. Does anyone know if this is just on the 500's or is my 800 going to be out of commission for a while?

I have an 06 500 so I'm very interested to know.

Thanks!

I heard from someone in the industry this morning, but this article just showed up in the Star Tribune.

Here ya go... Polaris recall

No matter the make, no matter then model, use "ATV connection"! Hands down the finest ATV website on the net, it's to ATV's as to what IDA is to fishing. ATV Connection

I see I gave the wrong recall, it continues on to 06's, same recalled part though, the ECM...polaris industries has all the info you'll need.

It's an old recall that has just been expanded. Nothing serious, just call and get it scheduled.

As for ATV sites I am rather partial to my own, ATVWild.com and my buddies ATVquadsquad.com. Some of us all started out on ATV Connection (I was about the 200th member at the time) but left when the then owner got all sideways and bowed up. So many good people took off and started their own sites it is kinda funny. But we all have something a little different to offer and it is fun to make the rounds anymore. Not trying to get too far off topic but a few sites I visit are as follows:

www.atvwild.com (own this site)
www.atvquadsquad.com
www.atvfrontier.com
www.atvtime.com (Used to co-own this site)
And for the best, non biased ATV tests anywhere:
www.jacobsatvmagazine.com
www.jacobsatvadventures.com

Have fun with those, they will keep most any ATV nut busy for hours at a time.
