If you are going out on Sherman be careful. The consensus on the ice today was that it is done. There was still a lot of ice up trail 8, but what was shaving nice on Friday is now coming up CHUNKY.
We heard from several groups that a quad went through on trail 1 and had to be winched out of seven feet of water.
Much of the middle of the lake is open.
The bite was extremely slow today with some nice crappies coming from 8. Cats and pike from 20'.
Stay safe, it's not worth it.

Don't have any other choice than to wait. The weather looks like it will be one of those freeze/thaw/freeze/thaw things for a while.
The boat is in storage and needs to get to Brad's Marine before the first outing. With the beginning of track and field season, that will take most of my time until the end of May. I guess I will be living vicariously through all of the IDA anglers.

No way, how can you guys be out of ice? If it doesn't warm up here soon, we will be ice fishing for several weeks yet. BTW, I am jealous. Looking forward to open water. Been a long, cold winter.

Had a friend come in off of the south boat ramp and fish on Wednesday. He caught 4 crappies in that area. When we left it on Sunday, I wouldn't have said that it would have stayed long.
