For minor utility use, is there really a need for 2500 lb winch in lieu of going with the 1500lb winch? I'm trying to figure where I'll need 2000lb of force to pull anything?? Any thoughts?

I put on a winch about twice the size I figured I'd ever need on my little 16' Alumacraft trailer. My wife loves it - - -jerr

Just stay away from Super winch we have had a lot of problems. I would get a 2500 or bigger just because we for one can sell you a 2700 for $170 that we have had excelent luck with no come backs so far over two years.
