Just a quick reminder. I just went through and greased my ATV and replaced one zerk that was siezed. With towing it this winter, salt. And running the lake, lots of water, it was due. I had some water coming out of a few of the seals when greasing. Keeping your ATV well greased will prevent lots of premature wear.

I tell you what, it's a whole heckuva lot easier and cheaper greasing than it is replacing. Don't try to tell me the non greasable stuff lasts longer either. Been around ATVs far too long to buy into that theory.
Excellent reminder though. For those that trailered ATVs in the harsh winter environment, zerks or not, spring is the best time to get everything cleaned back up and in shape for summer.

Most of my life has been spent fishing. The rest of it I just wasted. If I'm not fishing, hunting, or ATVing, you can bet I'm wishing I was! Control your kids, not my guns!
Where do these hard feelings towards Polaris really come from? I love seeing "Polaris envy", sorry it is tearing you up so bad that you take every opportunity to take pot shots. Ha Ha Seriously though, I have two Sportsman 500's and both have over 5000 miles and have never seen anything other than a plug and filter. Normal maintenance is key to keeping everything running well. Abuse and neglect are the only reasons why you should have had your machine in the shop as much as you state. If you just were unlucky enough to have gotten a lemon, I feel bad because you really are missing out on a great brand of 4 wheeler.
Hard feelings from owning one, and polaris did absolutely nothing about it. I heard the lemon excuse before, but I'am not the only popo hater out there. I have several friends that have owned them and never will again.Glad you guys are having good luck with them, but I'm sticking with an atv that takes some abuse without going to the shop repeatedly. I just wonder if you guys that claim to never have problems with them, actually get them off the tar, or the garage at your home in the city?
