Well, for the first time in my life... rolled the wheeler . Was having difficulty dragging and pulling in all the weeds of our riding arena. Wife told me to go out there and just tear around. Did this a couple weeks ago when we still had a little snow. Whipping around and gunning it was a fun way to dig up some of the growth. Well, was dry out there today. I took it a little easier than I did before... but that apparently wasn't enough. Coming around the north end, I started the turn, leaned heavy to the left... and started in on the gas. This is a new wheeler (07 800 cc ploaris with about 14 hours). Got in on the gas and the tires with excellent traction kicked in and got me way off base. Left side came off the ground and it was too late on the turn to hit the brake. Wheeler tipped over and I barely kept anything of value (of me) from being pinned underneath. Got a couple good cherry's on my leg... I have a bad back of which I spent a week in the hospital last fall and has been been hurting as well recently. Well, nice aggravated injury to the back. Other than that, thanking God it wasn't worse. Was just a dumb move on my part. Back hurts quite a bit right now. Tipped the wheeler back over and called it a day. I guess that will teach me. Certainly didn't think a 800lb wheeler would tip so easy. I didn't think I was being so careless... guess I will know better next time.
I've been there. They can tip over so easy, right when you think you got it figured out they throw a curve ball.
My last rollover was about ten years ago. 40-50 mph drunk off my ! Broken ribs and a bad head ache, I was lucky. It threw me good! I ended up about 10 corn rows in...and I was on the road when I rolled! That was the end of my heavy drinking days.
I no longer do doughnuts or mess around. I drive the machine lightly. They'll jump up and bite ya! Those big machines roll on you it can get bad in a hurry.

Gald to hear you are OK, good luck with your back. This reminds me of the only time I tipped one over, Morel hunting in the bluffs of Buffalo county, we were climbing quite a steep hill that was cow pasture so there were some switch backs made into the hills for the cows and tractors, ontop was a rather large plateau were we found mushrooms on the edges. Anyways we very slowly climbing up between switch backs and my right wheel went over a rock covered in grass and the wheeler started to flip over in slow motion, I fell backwards and I couldn't move because I was laying head first going down the hill- this is really the most helpless I have ever felt, slowly the wheeler was tipping over ontop of me, with luck it landed next to me not ontop. It happened very fast but seemd like forever. After that I was very, very carefull. My buddy who borrowed me the wheeler told me after the fact to be carefull with that wheeler because it is very easy to tip- Thanks buddy...

I don't think so. not a scratch, I hope there are no issues with the fluids though with it sitting on its side. It was still running when I got up, I turned if off right away and took a few mins to flip back over (I was in too much pain to do it myself at that point). Still in too much pain
You can run by me all day long. All I have to do is find a mud hole or a little water. History has proven that you'll just sit on the sidelines and wait with that 800 tar baby.
I grew up riding 3 wheelers, when the 4 wheelers came around, I found them easier to tip than the 3 wheelers. I still think the 3 wheelers are more fun and safer as long as your not doing 50.
Glad it wasnt worse Dave. 4 wheelers can definitely catch you off guard. A friend of mine a few years back tipped one over backwards on him climbing a creek bank(trail crossed) and the machine pinned him under the water, luckily we were there to help out.
Rule of thumb for rolling a 4 wheeler... $100 per roll.
Ritter...I will remember that when we have to stop on the trail for you Honda boys to do "This and that" to keep them running. I don't mind mud one bit! You guys can swim with your rides all you want! Maybe you guys should look into flippers instead of waders!

One Honda, he doesn't believe in maintenance, can't blame the machine for that one.
Seeing two po po's sitting on the side lines because one doesn't want to spin a belt and the other one can't even take a hose washing......
