Wagon Train input

#664921 - 04/22/08 11:19 AM

I'm in a tournament this weekend at Wagon Train for Bass fishing....anyone have some insight on best areas on this lake? I haven't been on this one yet. I'm planning on South part areas to hopefully catch some in the spawn/nest stage maybe. Thank you for assistance.

I only live a couple of miles from WT but I don't ever Bass fish this time of year. When I was out there last week I noticed quite a few bass guys fishing the shallow water on the west side of the lake. You might think about starting on the west side near the dam and work you way to the North.
Hope this helps. Maybe someone else will have a bass fisherman perspective for you.

Welcome to the IDA!

You probably won't get a lot of input about it since there are quite a few guys in the area fishing that tournament. I will be there. I think they will have over 15 boats plus shore anglers. That will be a busy lake come Saturday. My guess is depending on your boat number, you will start where there isn't a boat.

Thank you Ben and Jason on input. I drove down there yesterday, saw 6 boats on the water, nice lake, water level looked good. Coming down from Omaha Hwy 50 had road work so I took the interstate back and cut down my time 20 min and 3 miles (probably sat in line on the road 20 min at least!) Glad I took the time to check out the route. Look forward to seeing you at the tournament Jason....good luck this weekend!
