Looking for a reason to get out on a Saturday night, here it is once again. Saturday May 17th Moore's Bait & Tackle will be holding a Catfish Contest for both Channels and Flatheads. A $10.00 entry fee is required prior to the start time, which will run from 7:00 pm Saturday thru 6:00 am Sunday morning. On the Minnesota River The boundries will be from the downstream side of the trussel bridge in Carver, to the confluence with the Mississippi. On the Mississippi the boundry will be Pool #2 (from below the Ford Damn to above the Hastings Damn). This is a catch and release contest, so all photos with length and girth measurements need to be submited to Moore's Bait & Tackle via in person or by e-mail by 6:00 am Monday May 19th. There will be a first and second place in each catogory, with a sixty-thirty split, $1.00 of entry fee will be used for pizza get togethers later in the year.

By popular demand we have made some adjustments to the boundries. This year we will be including the stretch of the St Croix River down stream from the Stillwater bridge to the confluence of the Mississippi (Sorry BK no pool #3 entries allowed). There will also be a control item used this year since the boundries cover a lot of Miles. We hope you all enjoy these, and good luck to those that particapate.

Is this weather permitting? I'd want a refund if the river is frozen over.
I know, how surprising that I would come up with the predictable cold spring related wise crack.

We don't have pay pal like Dtro suggested, but there is still a thing they call USPS. I am wondering if he is afraid to go toe to toe with you pug? He just has to drive to the other side of the dirt path.
