Nice to see the flats are going. Great to see you got you first JAKOB. Bet Pug was glad to see one.

Quote: haha he got mad, cause I caught 2 the first time out and he got none.
We started the night off quickly, his clicker went off within the first 5-10mins, miss a hook up, then about 5 minutes after that I lached onto one.
Note to self....Make sure circle hooks are sharp.
I don't get mad seeing someone catch a flat. It's better then sitting there for hours without even a run. Afterwards I felt like maybe we should have been fishing 1 spot for 15 minutes and then move to the next area. Also, I think we may know where all the gentlemen went now that Blackdog had their bust.
Not to mention I noticed a syringe when I set my fishing pole down.

Yeap there was a couple creepy things down there. We sat right in front of one of the worst smells I have smelled in awhile. Kept the skeeters away though!

Here are the 2 that BrianK & this walleye guy caught last night when he tricked me into fishing saying we were going to catch a bunch of walleyes. The first one is a 27 & the second one is a 50
Chris, between the ones we got on Friday and the ones you guys got on Saturday you had what, 200 lbs of cats in the boat in 2 nights? Can't wait to see what tonight brings in!
My first big flathead in the boat when actually targeting them. 44", but no girth or weight. It was pretty thick. Sorry about the picture quality (no camera -- cell phone only). Either way, it was lots of fun!
Jake.... Reconize this guy It was his 1st flathead!!!! What a lucky son of a gun. It might have been the olny time he could get out in the boat with me so I gave him the spot on the spot deal with my best rod and an hour later he caught this monster.
45" long and 27" girth no scale on board but had to hit 45# plus.

This is my first attempt at posting a pic on this site. I'm the Big Mike Brian mentions in his flathead fishing reports here in Nebraska. Caught this one a couple weeks ago, 44lbs. Have caught several in the 40-50lb class so far this year. When you look at this picture, keep in mind I'm 6'6" 300lbs.

This is getting depressing. I don't know how many guys that year who have busted out of the gates with a 20#+ flathead. You'd think old man river would have thrown me a bone by now. It is nice seeing guys bust out with nice fish like that though. Hook'em right away, so to speak.
