The one caution I would note is that these units are not waterproof like the ifinders and other units designed for boats. Be careful if you plan to use it on the water.

Either the Lowrance or the Garmin would make a great gift! Here's a previous thread about the Garmin Nuvi 250W. That unit is VERY similar to the 200W that is available now in this forum. The Nuvi has been a very popular unit with great reviews. Either the Garmin or the Lowrance would make a great GPS for the car or truck. The Garmin has a larger screen at 4.3 inches versus 3.5 inches. The Lowrance unit will accept Lakemaster chips. Pick your poison but either of these will get the job done at a very affordable price.
