If you link out to photos on photobucket or other photo hosting sites be sure that they are no wider than 450 pixels on either side or you will stretch the page here on the site.
Using the photo upload system here on the site is FAR easier and quicker than using photobucket or other photo hosting sites. The other nice thing about uploading photos to the IDA server is that they'll always be part of the post you added them to. If you browse old threads you'll find nearly all photos added using a hosting site are missing... so the posts that are loaded with all those red "X's" indicating a missing file.
You are right, it appears to be a quillback (carpsucker). A very similar species is the river carpsucker, which will have a tiny nipple on the center of its lower lip. This is the best distinguishing feater between the two fish. There is also a highfin carpsucker, which has the lower lip nipple, but they are less common. They also have the signature tall dorsal fin or "high fin."

2 of the roughfish I caught while steelhead fishing last weekend. The first I believe is a white sucker (please correct me if I am wrong) and the second is on of those fights like a waterlogged boot loopers.

Here is a carp in the 8lb class that smoked a Jig N Rap while fishing during my lunch hour. It sure is a great break to the day and the carp and sheepies are always willing to play

Even more exciting it is a River Carpsucker!
They are a native fish that is a sign of decent water quality. The only ones I have caught have been from a trout stream. Congrats on a catch that some of my buddies have not succeded with yet!

Jack, That is one of the biggest bullfrogs I have ever seen. Way to go. How big was it? Ask your dad how many gophers he has chased and how he got them to get out of their holes. Uncle Tim
Erik, Side show Bob. Isn't that from the Simpson's. Nice catch, believe it or not but your uncle Jeff had hair that looked like that a long time ago. Uncle Tim
