We have just put in stock these products from Innovative Marine Solutions.Recently on a verrrrrry windy day we struggled to get & stay anchored on a spot that I knew that was holding fish.....never did get set on that day. Greg vandemark was the only person of several boats that was able to stay anchored on that day,he was using the heavy-duty Drop-n-Stay.
The Drop-N-Stay was developed so that anglers will be able to anchor on their favorite spot even in the roughest of conditions. With the use of specially designed marine grade shock cord, the Drop-N-Stay reduces the amount of shock on the anchor. This shock is caused by waves hitting your boat, which in turn creates excess tension on the anchor. By removing the shock, the tension is greatly reduced allowing your anchor to hold on any type of bottom. What this means is that you will be able to use a lighter anchor, and will not have to let out as much rope. To demonstrate this, we took a 20ft fiberglass boat on Lake Winnebago in two-three foot waves. We hooked up a scale to the front cleat to check the tension exerted on the anchor.
Nothing more frustrating than losing your anchor position when catching fish. This just might be the tool to solve that problem !We also carry Waterspike and Rictor anchors. Let us know if we can help!
I remember the day you were talking about sir and it was brutal!!!! If this product worked that day then it is the real deal! I am thinking this would be a good solution when a guy is anchored up on a wing dam and a barge goes by too. We break loose about every time and it is a pain. I will be down to pick one up in the near future! Rich
We had the double duece this wekeend and never had to re anchor. Even when the winds picked up on Saturday night. the double duece held its own. Well worth the money IMO.
I have had very good luck from them as well. VERY good customer service and the guy knows his stuff when it comes to anchoring. The only thing I dont like about their products is that I did not think of them myself

Lip, What made you decide to go with the deuce vs the single? Thanks for the feedback.

I have always liked going through the bow loop when anchoring. The boat just seems to ride better in the waves and create less pull being stream line. Perhaps this is not a big issue on the river current. I know you guys like to tie in different spots on the boat and it will move the boat around in the current. On Mille Lacs in those waves being straight off the bow is critical IMO in anchoring and not swinging around as much and taking on those 3-5 footers head on.
The “Double Duece” is just the nick name we came up for the Double Drop & Stay. Not staying put on a spot is not an option for me. I have never had this issue until last Summer out on the mud in some big rollers in my new Ranger 620. I could not hold with 150' of rope and a 28 pound Anchor. I vowed to find something to get me to hold out there. I have not battle tested the drop & stay out in the mud yet, but I'm pretty sure it will do it's job. I did notice that I did not have to let out a lot of rope this weekend. Like I said, when the winds kicked up Saturday I was figuring we would have to re anchor, but the DD did it's job.
