While fishing along a Green Bay, WI shoreline in about 10 fow. I pitched a 1/4 oz jig tipped with a BFT Paddletail (Firecracker/Chart tail into the 3' swells, hoping for a Walleye. Something hit it hard and the fight was on with my LE66ML and 6# test mono!
I sure was suprised to net a 6 lb Brown Trout! I guess you can catch just about anything with a jig and plastic!
I believe it, I caught one on a Everts Ringer this spring dragging for eyes, and one on a #5 flicker shad of all things at the end of April on Pool 3...
Those browns can really turn on to traditional bass/walleye baits. When the water temps are right, we slam a lot of browns around sister bay.
