Checking to see if it is truly closed for maintenance? I have been getting this message for 3 days when I click on that forum. I have expired my cookies to see if that was the issue, no help.
Just thought I would check to see if I am experiencing an issue, or regular maintenance.
Weird. Your browser is somehow referencing an old, cached page.
We should be able to clear that up for you.
Try this... at the top of your browser you'll find your tool bar. Click on "Tools."
Then, click on "Internet Options."
Next, click on "Delete File" shown in photo #1.
When you click on "Delete Files" a secondary dialogue box will open. Make sure you check the option box labeled "Delete all offline content" then click "OK" as shown in photo #2.
Your machine will likely take a few seconds to clear out all your cached pages. The hourglass icon will appear during the process. Once it is gone you should be able to access the walleye forum.
Let me know if this solves your issue.

Just completed this...as you described, and I still get the same error message. This is very bizarre as I have been hitting that forum pretty much every day flawlessly until about 3 days ago when the error started.
Hmmmm.... this is obviously a cached page issue local to your machine. We need to purge that page from your machine and force the browser to retrieve the new page as that forum is open for business.
Try changing your settings to "automatically" and then restart your machine before coming back.

I would think it would. Not because the issue is specific to IE but because a fresh install of any browser would not have a cached page for that forum. It might be worth a shot.

Unfortunately this is the work PC....and I cannot download "stuff" to it.
I guess I will have to be content with no walleye forum, for now at least. This is just weird, how do I get an old page stuck when I had never had a problem before and if the forum wasn't closed to begin with?
James, would it help to give him a temporary sign in under a different name to see if that cures it, or do you think it is an IE issue?
I don't think that would fix anything as I don't think the issue is specific to a user account. He could try logging out to check.
If that get's him into the walleye forum... my head would spin.

James - you don't have to go Exorcist on us and have your head spin :whistling: I tried it while logged out, still got the error page.
Like I said, I guess I'll have to live without it for now. Apparently my laptop got a mind of its own recently :flame: Do you have any idea how the Closed Page would have even populated in the first place?
Sweeeet! I have been trying it periodically the last few days and I am finally back in! :woot: Well, whatever the reason, I am glad to have it back! :waytogo:

I just thought I would post this as a follow up!
I would assume that your browser finally checked for a current page instead of using the one in cache. As to what caused the issue in the first place? I'm going with global warming.
Glad to have you back.
