A little more water in Ks

#677494 - 05/24/08 02:55 PM

I finally got a couple of pictures after the storm last night. The pictures of the bridge are at Hwy 383 and the water there had been so low you could jump across it since about 2002.The one picture is from the dam of a camper they didn't get out in time. And the other is the mud line coming down the lake from the top of the dam.The water is still coming up at 6-7 " an hour and they say the Creek is out of the channel 40 miles west at Selden area.Hopefully we get to keep some of the new water. If it comes up about 4 more feet we will have some great gravel in the water..

Last year Hillsdale was 7-8 feet above normal pool. The walleye bite was GREAT but I saw a lot of good fish that were not returned to the water.

Have fun

Nice pics, Chris!! Where are you living at down there? Maybe we could get a meeting going sometime at Norton - I do love that lake.

Thanks for the pics. It sure is nice to see an end to the drought for some.
