My guess is that with the cool water temps and the heavy wind that things were tough out there on Sat. Anybody getting in to them?

We did really good on Saturday, 3 over 5 lb, 6 over 4 lb, 12 over 3 lb, a couple of 2 lbs.
Not bad for a day.

What were you doing to get them in that wind? I presume you were not fishing the West or North end of the lake.

We fished for three and a half hours on Sunday and did really well. All fish were fat pre-spawn.

We did really well on Saturday as well. Just about all are prespawn. We did catch 4 off beds. Our best five went 5-8,5-2,4-15,4-15, and 4-13. The 5-8 was almost 22inches. Unfortunatley it was the only one of the day that wasnt really, really fat. It was actually pretty skinny

had my best day ever up there. My dad and I got into a couple of schools of pre spawn fish on jerk baits. we stoped counting at 150 fish at 2pm. My best cast was a 5.2 and a 4.7 on a white pointer minnow at the same time. caught a lot of walleyes also. I think judging by water temps and where we caught these fish we are a couple of weeks away from the main lake fish spawning.

Wow!!!! It sounds like all of you did really well while I really struggled for the few we did get.
We only fished Saturday, but were some what limited due to the wind. Were you guys fishing shallow? We did see a fair amount of fish, but couldn't get them to go.
Any tips would be appreciated as I'm heading back up on Friday for the weekend.

These reports make me almost wish I had made the trip over, but I am not so sure about because those winds might have made the waves a bit much for me. I suppose the South and East sides were somewhat protected Saturday.
All those fish caught and not a state record, let alone a 7lber. What happened?

give it a couple of weeks. All the fish we caught were in 7 to 9 feet of water. All were staging to go in. And yes the wind was real bad. thank god for drift socks and anchors.
