June Cat Contest

#678492 - 05/28/08 10:16 AM

Time once again for the June Cat contest, and now that the bite is on, there should be a good showing at weigh-in (pictures only).
The date is Saturday night June 14th from 7:00 pm till 6:00 am Sunday morning. Entry fee is $10.00, and can be done up to closing of that day. There will be a control item once again since boundries are extended. Those boundries are from the trussel bridge in Carver down stream to the confluence on the MN river. Pools one & two on the Mississippi, and Stillwater bridge down stream on the St.Croix (in land water rules apply, where only one rod can be used). A picture of the fish along with measurements of length and girth needs to be submitted to Moore's bait & Tackle prior to 6:00 pm Sunday evening. They can be submitted in person, or sent via e-mail. prizes will be awarded to the two top places in both Channel and Flatheads.

Be careful out there, and good luck to all....

I'm sure I'll be in again.
The 14th works out good too...one week before my trip.

Any chance Iowa can be included it this with pictures of fish, also pics of length and girth measurements? Via e-mail, take money orders in advance?

Heads up on the boundries, the way I should have typed in the St Croix boundries are as follows (Arcola soo line railroad road bridge at river mile 28.5) down stram to the Mississippi confluence..........

It is coming up this weekend and so is the water. Please be careful out there, and the best of luck.....

Alot of nice fish being caught as of late, I hope those that are don't burn themselves out prior to contest night........

Thanks for the St Croix boundary change, Bob.

BlackSportsman and I and hopefully StCroixer will be chasing St Croix cats. We hope to put a few fish on the LeaderBoard. Fishing has been tough with the high water this last week.

Any open seats out there? I'd be happy to ruin your trip.

I'll be ready to see if I can boat a couple of Howgs....
Weather looks good for most of the night.
Best of Luck to the rest of the group. Looks to be another large one.

Nothing like a gentle summer rain to make a night of fishing a joy, eh, fellow contestants?

After three hours of fishing from shore with the wife and sister, we got skunked and soaked. Good times. At least we weren't on a boat miles away from the launch.

The two best times to fish are when it's rainin' and when it ain't.
