Hit Otter for a few hours tonight with both of my girls and did very well with bluegills. They were hitting flies really well. One other thing that was biting was... Mosquitos!!! Thousands and thousands of them, and it didn't matter how much deet you doused yourself in either! Skeetos aside. Good trip out.

Thanks for the report on Otter. Maybe a person will just have to give it a try when the wind is blowing at about 30 mph. Were you all fly fishing or using spinning gear with a small bobber which seems to work pretty good.

We were just using bobbers, because it just didn't seem safe for an 8 year old to be fly fishing in the same boat a 3 year old is running around in. Haaha. We are heading back monday, just myself and the oldest, flyrods this time! The only way to catch bluegills!

Went back out tonight with the kids, we probably caught over 100, kept a dozen. All on artificials. Caught some really nice mommas that went back since they were still full of eggs. Broke the tip off my brand new ultralite, which is becoming a yearly tradition.
We recently bought a new computer equipped with Vista, so my camera isn't exactly compatable anymore. Gonna have to fix that! He is one of the girls taken with my phone.
