Congrats guys. Theres some very tough competion in these tourneys but yet its a great way to learn more about bass fishing on Lake Zumbro. And by the way in case anyone is sitting on the fence so to speak about maybe fishing these, they are open to the public-anyone can fish them.
Thanks, Bill

i guess that depends on who you are and where you have fished. Is it Falcon lake in tx far from it however is it Silver lake far from that as well. i would say it is par. Sometimes you can really get on them(when that has happened for me it has never been a tuesday evening however ). Good luck. ike

i believe it was 11 something for 3rd and don't know names and then 4th was Matt pretzer and myself for 4th with 10-9. We had enough boats to pay out 4 spots that is AWESOME. Good to see the turn out. i was hearing stories last night where it was only a few years ago where they were only haveing 4+ boats. Greg had some really nice fish, and a heartbreaker of a story. He had 12 for only 4 fish 5th would have sealed the deal.

I just heard from a reliable source that the smallies are on a serious tear along the Minnesota-side rip-rap in Lake Pepin. Senkos were doing the damage for the party I spoke with. Quite a few of these were nicer fish.

It may be a bit further to drive to Pepin, but the practice one would get may be worth those few miles.

Most of these guys posting above do plenty of practice on the Zum for these tuesday night deals. It has blown me away. Even this last weeks winners were out practicing for the $20 tourney.
I'll tell you what, i may have to do it myself. I figured this one was a fun one but when Coyote is down for 2 days practice and Gravenhoff is down multiple days and on and on, I have my work cut out for me.
Gone are the days of just showing up. To each his own. This thing to some is about as serious as a BFL. You guys practice more for this than I do on the river for a BFL anyways.

Just for the record, I was only there 1 day(bass opener) and thats cause I only had 4hrs to fish. Some of us I guess just arent as good as others and we need more time on the water, so no regrets for my time on the water!!!

Let me tell you about my BFL experience yesterday. We did an hour long boat ride. On the way out there the water was rough and the boater's boat broke down. But, luckily it broke down close to where we wanted to go. So, we started fishing and hoped that someone would pass us later in the day to help bring us in. Unfortunately, no one ever passed us. So, at 2:15 pm I reached in the live well and turned back 11 to 12 pounds of fish (based on the pro's guess). I later found out that it took just 10.5 lbs to win on the co-anglers side. This is par for the course on my 2008 season so far. Check out the photos.

Sorry to hear about your day. That really sucks!

You can call the director but hey most likely will not do anything. Even at the Stren, they will not send a boat for you. That is why I travel with some friends and incase of emergency, can call them and get help.Get to know other boats and exchange phone numbers incase of a problem. The other boaters can hall your fish back with you in the boat.

At first I was pretty upset. But, I'm one of those "things happen for a reason" kind of guys. So, on the way home about 40 miles outside of LaCrosse--in the middle of nowhere--there was a tournament boat and truck broken down. I was able to help out those kids to tow their boat and give them a ride into LaCrosse. So that made the situation a little easier.

After our short conversation (both of them), I'll have to say that you are a top notch fella. Sorry to hear about the troubles. Karma works its way in usually, so it'll come back to you in the future I'm sure.
