Now is the time to look and see what you need for the coming ice.I just got a new bunch Mini Merts from BFISHN Tackle.I just love them. Also good time to check battery and charge as needed.New line on poles and tipups too.Just some things to do on these rainy days.Hope to see you all on the ice.ICE JOHN
Thanks IceJohn, I appreciate the advice. I usually get around to this in about December. I was wondering if you had any magic lures for catching walleyes through the ice. The best I have are spoons and sweedish pimples. I planned on fillin up my ice fishing jigs and was wondering if you had any good pointers on walleye jigs.
This time of the year is the best time of year to pick up some great deals on ice tackle. Custom Jigs and Spins has a clearance section on their site where they're selling off Diamond Jigs, Demon Spoons, etc., at some discount prices.
I'm in the middle of placing an order for some lil cecils, and Merts right now. Ugh another long summer to get through until the fun season. now I'm off to check out CJ&S.

Hey Deluxe
I've been giving Koonce a hard time all about the paddletails by PM most of the day and earlier he mentioned he was planning a BFT ice tackle sale... so you might want to hold off on your order until he gets that announced. Might save you some dough.

Steve, what works best for me around our area is two things... 1) CJ&S Lightning spoons 2) Yellow Jigging Raps
I have confidence in these two baits, and use them religiously for walleyes. Color can change with the raps, but I seem to always get bit on any color of lightning spoon. Up north in MN, I will use CJ&S slender spoons.
