Hit Leech Mon at 3pm jumped around fishing spots looking for a day bite, fished the windy points and shores one eye 1 perch 1 northern.
Moved to an evening spot about 745pm pulled in with a number of boats on the spot. Didnt want to fish with the crowd so I trolled the sw shore then hooked back around the Pt. and fished in the group, stayed till 10pm and the fish moved in, more small fish kept two for a fry.
I fished a lindy rig with a leech and a 4ft snell the other person jig and minnow. I had been fishing a jig and minnow then I put a leech on a 1/8oz jig and caught a keeper. Changing it up worked when I went to the rig and leech the bite was better. Ill be using Leeches now or crawlers until I see a different pattern then its Plug time. Water temp 60 degrees. Its good to see many year classes now in Leech and Leech is back.
Bill not walker bay, fish up by Goose Island from Star Pt to Big hardwoods depending on the wind. Fish the windy points or shore, 1/8oz jig and shiner will work.
I am on the south side by Huddles, so that area is a long way. The south side has been poor. But thanks for the advise. The mid lake reefs should be turning on soon I would think, thats about 5 miles for me.
Bill, I quide out of Trappers Landing by Huddles. I have been fishing that way have not fished any reefs yet but you could also try sugar point or Battle point and the west side of Bear island lots of areas to try by Huddles.
fishnut I have a place just west of trappers in Miller Bay. I drive a purple and green Ranger 692. I fished battle and sugar over Memorial day weekend and did just great. But even with the late spring I would have thought that area would have been over by now. Although Sugar point probably still has potential. I may have get up there on Sat as the winds will be perfect Thanks for your help and if you see me out there say
