Has anyone had any luck catching walleyes during the day? I'm thinking about heading out there tomorrow and I haven't fished there yet this year. Any input would help. Thanks.

My buddies brother lives on the lake. There was a 31 incher pulled in late May. But most have been smaller stocked fish this year.

Any luck John? The only eye I've caught in prior came off a outside weededge on the windblow side of the lake.

I went to Prior and the south launch was full so I went to Spring. I fished for about an hour and my trolling motor quit working so I went home and fixed it. Not much activity on Spring it was windy as heck out there.

I yeah I opted for a little more family time, I just hate fishing in the wind.

We were out Saturday night and Sunday afternoon on Prior after getting blown off and skunked on Mille Lacs earlier in the week .
Saturday night we pulled plugs over and around the weed edges to no avail , but marked a TON of big arches on the edges in 12-15 fow. We tried fast, slow shallow, deep and couldn't turn a fish at night. We (Dad's little fishing buddy and I) hung it up around midnight Saturday night and decided to try live bait for those same fish Sunday.
Sunday afternoon before sunset we had better luck chasing pannies and 'eyes with jig/minnow combos .
If anyone has thoughts on unlocking their jaws at night, I'm all ears.

Priors night bite is LATE!!! After midnight is the best for us, starting now and going thruogh most of winter. I personally don't see any reason to go out on prior before 10pm
-------------------- Everywhere you look there are signs of fishing. Due, in part, to the fact you don't think about much else.
