Went out last night about 715pm, caught a few crappie but nothing to brag about, caught this balloon coming up over the crest of the hill then they dipped close to the water. Enjoy!

Great pics! I've always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Char's Guide
I usually go about 40 yards out from the boat ramp, start heading North with 28lb thrust troller running at level 3 dragging Cordell minnows with the loop on the back, (they run about 8-12 ft deep), troll the whole way North toward left side keeping about 30-40 yards from the bank, you should catch some crappie especially where that first point of land comes out on the left, depth should run you about 12-18 ft then there are some drops to 21ft along there too, that should get you started catching crappie. If you look on the East side there is a fishing pier and South of that you will see some dead trees along the bank, if you go to that side after trolling North ( I usually troll my way back there) there is an old rock road that used to run across the lake, I'm told, do a zig/zag pattern horizontally heading East to West and if you put on a Rapala diver that runs about 14ft + you might get lucky and hook into a blue catfish ( I caught one trolling that weighed about 10 lbs! The lure was blue/green with white belly, looks little like a shad) Didn't keep it, but fun to reel in on 8lb test. (There is usually a red Lund boat sitting out there catfishing about every time I've been out) One Sat morning, lake was calm, wife/I caught about 16 keepers in 2 hours fishing from about 7 - 9am along that trolling route. Hope this helps!

We were on the water when the balloons took off. Good stuff. The fishing was not as cool. The wife managed a 12" walleye 5 minutes after we hit the water, but nothing else.
