Minnewawa

#686359 - 06/24/08 10:02 AM

I am heading up to Minnewawa next week and hope to get some fishing in for some pike and panfish with my daughter. Are there spots that are better to try or is it search until you find a good contour base and start there? I have a lake map and did well this winter for sunnies and crappies, but limited summer fishing up there.

Lip Ripper, I know you were nice enough to pm me info last year but I lost my saved pm's, if you don't mind resending that if you have a copy, so me trying to remember isn't working so well, but must have killed those brain cells bouncing across Mille Lacs this past sunday,

My relatives have a place on the lake and we used to do great up there for big bluegills. Don't know if it's still the same or not. Haven't been up there in quite a while. I'm sure Lip will be able to point you in the right direction though.

Wade,

I don't have what I sent you. If you are looking for fast action pike Minnewawa is the place. Where are you staying agian?

Minnewawa has some awfully nice Bull Gills and now is the time. Small leech under bobber in any shallow weed line. Out in front of the new public access by the pads is usually a great place to start.

Let me know what side you will be staying and I try to get some more information to ya!

Rob,

Thanks again, the cabin we are staying at is on the north/northeast side off of floe road, but also know where the new public landing is as well.

Thanks,

Wade
