There is a northern rivers card out there. They are discontinued but there are still some floating around. They are actually pretty decent, but they run about $200.
Navionics premium north has the river from Red Wing to Dubuque the thing is only lake parts of the maps is going to be close the rest changes w every flood for the most part the marker bouys are real close.

They're still available, but the name has changed. They are now called Navionics Gold XL9 Navigable Rivers USA Central 15XG SD Card or sometimes referred to as "Central USA and Gulf" card. That card does run a little more than the Hotmaps Premium North and if you're only running pools 5 though 7 you can get by with the Premium North chip. It has the river data from the head waters to the south Iowa border, but as it was mentioned, the river changes and you can't simply count on the map to be nearly as accurate for the river as it is for lakes. The information is helpful as a general guide, and the wing dams should be marked in most areas, but the depth contours will vary. It's a great tool, but you'll have to temper you expectations if you're used to using map cards on lakes.

I have the 2006 Premium North card and it doesn't have anything between 4 and 8. Was there an upgrade on the newer chips?
I don't remember when they did it but as I recall they began putting the river data on the Premium card as a "bonus". It might have started with the 2007 chip. Does anyone else here know for sure? I know we have a lot of river guys here who use the card and could confirm or refute that for us.

I have the 07 Premium North chip and love it.
I have used it on Pools 4,5a,7,8, and 9.
Wingdams, buoys, island names, and daymarkers are labeled on all of the above pools. Also, the depths are shown on all these pools as well. But, like was mentioned, the river changes way too much to rely on the depth markings.
But, the part I am interested in the most (wingdams, sloughs, etc.) is excellent on the Premium North chip
