So, I heard this place gets stocked with walleyes. With gas the way it is I've changed my locations of fishing. Otter Creek isn't all that far away so I better give er a try. Anyone lese ever tried this place for walleyes? Any tips would be helpfull. Thanks

The County Conservation Board are the ones who oversee the stocking. I'd suggest calling them. I don't think it's a goldmine for eyes, but I think there are some in there. Let us know how you do.

Otter had walleyes stocked in it a few years ago to try and control the yellow bass. The have a 15 inch limit on the lake and there are not very many legal eyes in the lake yet. Lots of 10-12" fish right now. In a couple of years we should start seeing a lot more legal fish.
Now I don't think they reproduce in the lake but I could be wrong. There are tons of yellows and catfish in the lake if you want to have some fun.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Is this the Otter Creek that starts at westgate and joins the Big Wapsi about 4 miles NW of Independence at Otterville (witch may not be on newer Iowa maps).

I believe they are talking about the lake north of Tama/Toledo.
