I had the pleasure of fishing with my son, a friend and his son. My friend had never caught a walleye and with a bite that has been good, I hoped to put him on some fish. Unfortunately I was the only one to catch walleyes. We started out trolling but only a nice northern to show for it. We then went to rig an area that has been full of boats catching fish. The boats were still there but the walleyes were not. With the two youngs boys starting to get bored with the lack of fish, I decided to anchor up on my favorite rock point. We ended up getting a few bass and I caught two eyes, a nice 18 and a 19.5. After sunset the bugs were really bad. They were really loud above our heads.
All in all it was a fun night out with goods friends.

Here's a couple more pics. The first pic was us doing a little scouting and setting up reference marks at the drop off point to put down a trolling line. The contour lines are off. I actually marked the 10' break. The rest of the pics are my attempt to get pics of the bugs. I just pointed the camera in the air and let the flash light them up. The pics don't do them justice. DT

Bug pics. remind me of Mille Lacs when the bugs would be so thick you had to head indoors.
