#688106 - 06/29/08 09:20 PM

I just put my Canada chip in my Lowrance Expedition because we are heading up this week. All of my spots are marked , but my trails are gone. Can anyone tell me what I did or didnt do ???

Trails and waypoints are saved to the memory of the unit
they were created in. They are not saved onto your mapping
chip.

They should still be there unless you deleted them.

Go in to menu->menu->my trails..., and check if you have another trail activated. Also check trail options.

Hope that helps.

Waypoints are saved when you hit way point on my unit but the trails will delete after so long inless you go in and save trail.

As you make new trails the old ones are disappearing unless they are saved.

Are the trails gone or are they just not displayed on the screen? It could just be a matter of going in and making sure they are set to "visible". If there are no records in "My trails", I have no idea what happened.

This brings up another question. When you save a trail and a new one automatically starts, will the saved trail now be saved until deleted or do those points "count" towards the total?

The saved trail is there until you delete it.
You can change the number of points you have in each trail. If you exceed the number of points, it will start deleting from the beginning of the trail.
I have mine set at 9999.
You can also switch between trails, just highlight the one you want to use.
