Family Fishing Vacation

#688113 - 06/29/08 10:18 PM

I am looking for a good resort to take my family to that will offer good fishing along with things for the wives and kids to do. I am willing to go anywhere in Minnesota or Wisconsin. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I know Lake Okoboji isn't in Minnesota or Wisconsin, but it's not far. Just a few miles south of the Minnesota/Iowa border you have your choice of Okoboji or Spirit Lakes and there is plenty for the wives and kids to do.

It looks great. Lots to do. Now, the most important question of all. How is the fishing? What type of lake is Two Inlets Lake?

well my dad live up there just on the outskirts of the town called Osage! there are alot of good lakes up there depends on what you want to god fishing for. panfish rock up there, also bass and eyes do as well. plenty of the toothy slimmy critters to go around as well. just depends on what fish you are fishing for and the style of your fishing. everytime I go up to the farm during the summer, the boat is in toe right behind me. also, you can't beat the local knowledge up there, call and talk to the bait shop, he will tell you how the fishing is.
(delanies) i believe

we have been staying on big arbor vitae lake which is in the minoqua area for a couple years now and just love it. we dont have wear your arm out fishing but we catch enough for a couple of fish frys during the week and to keep the kids interested. other than fishing there is a wildlife park, water ski shows, horseback riding, go carting, and tubing on the river all within a half hours drive, and a great pizza place called Vinchys. we leave in a month
