might have a motor issue. I have a motor that the carbs were cleaned as was having a gas flow issue and the guys working on the boat said same issue was still happening after they did the carb work. so I found another engine and the guy said he would give me 100.00 each for my 2 bad motors and cash as trade for the motor he had.
well I put the new motor on and had the same issue. well I call the guy I bought the motor form and he said try to adjust the Float (jet screws) well did that and works great now. My problem might be though is that the motor that I had the carbs cleaned was having the same issue everything ran great and such then killed when throttled. My question is If I take that old motor they said was bad and it runs when i adjust the float (jet screws) and runs good what do I do? do I give the guy 100.00 and say I am keeping my other motor since I fixed it as it is obviously worth a lot more then 100.00 being a 85 horse running motor? or give him back his motor? I am just looking for thoughts on what how this can be approached if the motor is fixed by that easy change on the screws.
also the new motor I bought I had to rewire the majority of the inside as the wires were pretty shot (6 of them).
