#689544 - 07/06/08 04:24 PM

Hello,
Kind of a Riddle Lol.

I have been fishing chetek chain the last few days with out any luck at all (got a club contest comming up). A couple of buddies have been catching them like crazy lol and sending the pics to my phone to rub it in haha and they will only give me a few hints of their pattern, 1. Fishing some what deep water 9 to 13 feet main lake weather it be points of shore deep etc. BUT! This is the part I am lost on they are telling me the pattern is there is somthing I need to look for at each deep water spot and if it has it the Bass will be stacked up in there but they won't tell me what it is i need to look for haha. Any Ideas? The lake has major Green water not muck just green water green on top of more green everywere green even in the middle LOL. 72 to 76 degrees avg. Any one have a idea what I am misssing or should be looking for on these points or deeper water spots?

My neighbors just got back from a week of fishing there. They said the "normal" was in play this past week. They even said that the boat traffic was down. I can't help you with what specifics to look for, but the "normal" for us is C-rigsin deeper water, frogs and weightless tubes inslop, and chatterbaits.

Hope this helps a little,

Submerged bogs, the nastier the better. If you have a decent finder, you'll know it when you see it. It will look like a little hump, and then youll see a mess of limbs and grass down there.

Thanks for the input, the bogs are new to me from other places I have fished and I can see obiously the emergent ones but the submerged bogs is there any idication on top that there maybe be one under water? I ask because I noticed while on the lake that there were a few spots in open water were there would be a very thick green film ontop in 12 feet of water even more than the normal green water is it possible this would be a indication of a under water bog? Also I learned there are fish cribs all over i guess. I have a 797 with side imaging so that will help to find it I guess I am just not very good yet at realizing whats on my screen lol.

Lindner on Angling Edge showed a pattern for what seemed to be about this time of year. It followed the spawn and put the fish either in the weed points or on gravel edges just outside the weedpoints. They dragged football jigs w/ plastics for those stacked fish. They said it was about a two week window for these fish once they got there. Just seems like it is too early year this year...
