Hello, Kind of a Riddle Lol.
I have been fishing chetek chain the last few days with out any luck at all (got a club contest comming up). A couple of buddies have been catching them like crazy lol and sending the pics to my phone to rub it in haha and they will only give me a few hints of their pattern, 1. Fishing some what deep water 9 to 13 feet main lake weather it be points of shore deep etc. BUT! This is the part I am lost on they are telling me the pattern is there is somthing I need to look for at each deep water spot and if it has it the Bass will be stacked up in there but they won't tell me what it is i need to look for haha. Any Ideas? The lake has major Green water not muck just green water green on top of more green everywere green even in the middle LOL. 72 to 76 degrees avg. Any one have a idea what I am misssing or should be looking for on these points or deeper water spots?

Weeds - wood - clumps of baitfish or rocks that's my guess.
how deep is the weed line in the lake? if its less than 10 feet then that rules out weeds
what is the dominate make-up of the bottom (mud, sand ,gravel, rock) then look for something differnt like sand to rock in 9-13 feet of water
are there any sunken trees or old fence lines crappie cribs ect?
If it was me I would just start running the 9-13 foot line looking with my electronics till I saw something

Your buddies may have found some fish cribs. Get a DT 12 blue gill color and start throwing. If you can not get nothing going fish the bridges and marinas. Senkos! I know they catch some nice fish off them cribs but they are hard to find.

Thanks for the input, I was also told there is submerged bogs out there. is there any idication on top that there maybe be one under water? I ask because I noticed while on the lake that there were a few spots in open water were there would be a very thick green film ontop in 12 feet of water even more than the normal green water is it possible this would be a indication of a under water bog? There are fish crib markings all over on my navionics map and I have a 797 with side imaging but when I go by most the spots marked with cribs nothing seems to show atleast not like the cribs I spotted on other lakes were it is a very difined square on the sideimage. I am just not very good yet at realizing whats on my screen lol.

I bass fished Sat. the 12th and it was the best this year. I have a trailer at the camp in the draw so fish allot all summer. If I found fish, I found more that one. Then would fish without a bite for some time.
