Pool 12 Holiday report

#690364 - 07/08/08 10:20 PM

I got home and fished Dubuque over the holidays with my good buddy Dave and all I can say is it was a slayfest, we caught tons of walleyes, most in the 15-20 inch slot. Also alot of small fish from 6-12 inches, which should make for some good fishing in the future. This was like a guided trip, Dave was already on fish, all I had to do was catch We caught fish all over too, several different places but we didn't get into any dam fish until Sunday morning. We tried several dams until we found one that had fish and boy did it put out Our biggest for the weekend was a 24 incher, so no huge ones but the numbers made up for it. All and all it was a great weekend on the river. We got most of our fish on crawlers and leeches on Dubuque rigs. Water levels had come down so fishing should be pretty good for awhile.

Here is a pic of the barge that hit the bridge and sunk.

Cool pic. Those bridges sure take a beating every year from the barges, logs, and ice. Good to hear the fish were biting for you down there.
