Thank You ! I had been prefishing all week , the bite early in the week was nothing short of awesome. Tuesday morning I hit the water with my Dad in pool 14 , I started the day off with a 28.5 inch hawg . We boated numerous mid 20 inch fish all day. With plenty of keepers thrown in. The big girl came on a wingdam on a bomber crank bait, we caught a few more also on the bomber. My go to bait all week was hair jig and half crawler . The day of the tourney was alot tougher bite ,the water had muddied up alot. After locking through 2 locks I get up to the area were I want to fish only to have people sitting on my top 3 choices. I hit a couple wing dams that had produced in practice with out a bite. I abandoned the wing dam thing and run down to a couple little spots that produce year after year but get almost no pressure from local fisherman. The first spot produced 2 keepers and the next 2 spots filled out are limit and one upgrade. We had to head back to the lock at noon to make sure we got back in time. I had one good spot in pool 16 thanks to fellow IDO member wingdam1 , but the water clarity bellow the rock river was less than 1 inch and we did not catch anymore fish . We ended up weighing a small 8.8 once limit ,but I was happy with that given the conditions. I want to thank my co-angler Gary Speicher for a great day on the water. The picture is the 28.5 incher from Tuesday.

way to go jigfan. congrats.
looks like you had a good plan in battling a tough bite.
i took a quick look at the leaderboard and you can see how tough it was by the few fish caught. only 5 limits.
wow, did you get edged out for 4th by 1 fish - an 8-14!! or is that a misprint?

What you read was correct. It was a 28 inch pig out of pool 14. That was a pretty valuable fish , 4th place plus big fish. He said at weigh in that he thought it was a snag and tried to shake it off then it started moving.
