My brother Burbob and I made a full weekend of wing dam walleyes and catfishing. The wing dam bite is going very well with lots of nice box fish with a few bigger fish in the mix. The majority of the fish came on crankbaits and ring worms. 1/16 oz heads were the weight of choice on the dams we were fishing. Biggest fish hit the tape at 27 with a lot of cookie cutter 22's.We did get to pull a little lead core on friday in the Prescott area and most of the fish came from the 22 to 26 foot range. In between the storms at night we managed to get out and stick a couple of cats as well. The big channels are really going strong right now,but the flatties were not cooperating as well as last week due to the spawn.
Nice fish. How did you find that calm water in the background? A buddy and I were out today and the wind was a pain in the . We did get a 22.5 and a 39" flathead for our efforts though. I only had one good fish on using cranks. Everything else we caught was on crawlers.
