pool 16 report

#691617 - 07/13/08 10:59 PM

Went out this morning until 2pm ,Did pretty good throwing ring worms and power minnows to current breaks from andalusa to syulivan slough. There are a ton of minnows up in the eddies right now and it seemed like every one we found with bait in it had walleyes in it, Amoung white bass and catfish.we ended up with ended up with 4 or 5 fish between 20 and 24 inches several 15 to 19 inch and alot of small saugers and white bass. most of our fish came from 3 to 6 ft of water, pink ring worms and chartruse power minnows on 1/16 ounce jigs worked best for us today. The water is still very dirty and fast, But it seems like if you find the minnows you will find some fish.good luck

Nice looking fish. Havent tried pink worms this time of year. Purple with either the white or chartruese tail is about the only color I try this time of year. Looks like I may need to try some different colors.
