How's the Pool 4 bite?

I'm thinking about heading down in the morning. Anybody been out lately? How's the trolling bite?

When you stop into Everts, check in with Dean. He was putting guys on wallabies this morning. Bites has been excellent for this time of year...from my understanding...

Don't forget! Mention CATFISH an your first launch at Everts is free!

Had a good afternoon, 20+ keepers caught with alot of them in the 16-20 range. Grandson kept enough to take home to feed the familly for a meal or two.
Lot of guys working the Rush River to Maiden Rock area. We were concentration on the shallower water along Warren Town.
No particular bait seemed to perform better, just needed something bright today. We ran speeds faster that I would normally troll, ended up the day staying in the 3 to 3.4 MPH range.

I was down in the Pepin area last this last week and we did quite well...fished in the 18'-15' range. Caught a lot of very nice saugers...colors didn't seem to matter, I know firetiger and anything purple seemed to work.

The live bait bite at the upper end of the pool is solid. We spent our day today dragging and pitching crawler halves on 1/16 or 1/8 oz jigs (orange) at three different spots between LD3 and the head of the lake. Shallow (1-7 fow) with flow was the name of the game. We enjoyed a nice mixed bag of eyes, a few saugers, cats, gills, stripers, smallies, and the ever present sheepies. Pictured are friends Tyler and Zach with a one-man limit of eaters that received the hot grease release. Be sure to see Dean for the latest bite info!

Good job Jason, I knew you'd find those fish. The smiles on those guys is a sure sign of a great trip.
