Went out to Johnson last night and did a little fishing. It was sorta slow, but they were still biting a bit. Ended up with 4 walleyes, 20+ white bass, including some over 16 1/2", and 2 nice crappies. My buddy was in the boat next to us and I don't know how many whites he had, quite a few. Had a few walleyes in the mix as well.

Are they still catching anything through the day? Last I heard they were still picking up a few walleyes trolling. Anything to that?

Afriend of mine was out there this am and said that him and one other boat were the only ones trolling. He said there were quite a few boats that were slabbing. He didn't catch any walleye. He said they had a bunch of drum and a few whites.

Hey Jorg, Johnson's has dropped a bit, too. Talked to a guy yesterday who was there, said he put in at the inlet as he felt more comfortable than the outlet. I've been hearing (before the water dropped) that they were catching eyes in 6-10 FOW live baiting, but I also know of some nice fish pulled out on slabs in deeper water. I would guess that with the dropping water, maybe some of those fish have pulled out of some of the shallow areas, but who knows. Was told the whiteys were really going too. Also heard of a couple wipers caught at Elwood.

Think that we should have gone there. We went to Sherman and tried the crappies. Only caught 6 keepers all day. They were nice fish between 11-13". Most came out of Trail 3.
We talked to a G&P officer and he said that Sherman is at the level they think that they will keep it at for the winter. There is 5.8 fow on top of the island. The water is up to the poured concrete on the dam.
Right now it is a little hard to find some of our old structure to fish.
We pulled cranks for a couple hours without any luck. One 30+" slimer and one 17.5" walleye; not what you would call a great day. Had another good fish on but lost it. Probably another northern.
Keep in touch jorg
