Day started slow, we were pulling cranks on lead. Fog rolled in shortly after sunrise and not much action between 6-10am. Once the fog lifted the bite seemed to pick up. We managed about 20 shorts and ended up with a 2 man limit of 6 and 2 bonus perch and off the water shortly after 2pm.
spent the last 3 days on Big Spirit. Had alot of action and caught some nice perch. Had a one man limit of eyes 15 to 16 inches all three days. 17 to 18 feet off Big Stoney. Back trolling bottom bouncers and crawlers. silver spinner put the most fish in the boat. The gold seemed to catch the bigger between slot fish. beads were a little bigger and a bigger profile. lesson learned if you want a few for the pan a little smaller profile helps. I think that may relate to the smaller Salmo with the above post.
#5 Shad Raps seem to be great producers for us day in day out. the #7 get a few but the vast majority come off the 5's. I might have to pull the bouncers back out, yesterday only yeilded small and slot fish no eaters. The slot did come on a #5 Hornet to.
